County holds two weekly meetings

The Alfalfa County Commissioners met at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19 for their weekly meeting. 

The meeting was called to order with Jay Hague, Mike Roach and Marvin Woodall present. 

The minutes, maintenance and operation warrants for payment, blanket purchase orders, monthly officer reports and court clerk records management and preservation monthly report were approved.

No road crossing permits were submitted for approval.

A private property access easement for District 2 to clean out, fill and shape for better water flow was approved.

Also approved were the amended guidelines for Covid-19 for Alfalfa County.

Next, a written quote from Rieger Welding for $116,100 was approved for District 1 for enclosure for grader shed and wash bay. Two other companies submitted no bid. 

The final item on the agenda was for the commissioners to go downstairs for the annual jail inspection. 

After hearing no unforeseen business the meeting adjourned. 

January 25

The Alfalfa County Commissioners met at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 25.

The meeting was called to order with Hague, Roach and Woodall present. 

The minutes, payroll warrants, maintenance and operation warrants for payment, blanket purchase orders and monthly officer reports were approved first.

No road crossing permits were submitted for approval. 

The following items were declared surplus:

• District 2: 2004 Air Conditioner Philco, storage tank 300 gallon and three 2007 overhead heaters Dayton.

• Fairgrounds: 8 foot Kiser Arena Drag/Groomer.

A resolution for disposing was also approved for those same items.

Next, the commissioners approved going out on sealed bids to surplus an 8 foot Kiser Arena Drag/Groomer.

Also approved was an engineer selection for District 3.

Next, a certificate of compliance for OMMA businesses for OMMA and compliance letter for Dirt Road Organics was approved.

The final item approved was a transfer of funds to correct an error for District 2 for $97.15. A purchase order was taken out of the wrong account.

After hearing no unforeseen business, the meeting adjourned.
