Local pastor discusses who are you
BY RYAN PULLAN

Who are you? How do you see yourself? Are you worthy? I often ask these three questions to kids and even adults who may be struggling with their walk with God. Most of the time I would get, what I consider ‘normal’ answers: “My parents say this about me….” Or “My teachers see me as this…” “Kids at school say this to my face…” After a few minutes I stop them and ask them if I can share with them who God says they are, what God says about them, and how God sees them as worthy. As we begin to discuss what God’s Word says about them, their demeanor begins to change. As Christians who have prayed and asked Jesus into their hearts, they are unique, one of a kind and they are God’s masterpiece. (Eph. 2:10). They are of royal priesthood! They are a son or daughter to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Because of what Jesus did on the cross, and under the new covenant, they are worthy to step into the presence of God at anytime and anyplace. They can “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise.” That “Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God interceding on their behalf.” (Hebrews 10:12).
So today I would like to ask you, who are you? How do you see yourself? Are you worthy? Can you answer one of those questions without saying something negative or belittling of yourself? If not, I want to encourage you to go and be a part of one of the great churches in this community. Let Jesus begin to reveal Himself to you, and saturate you in His love and grace. The word of God is no respecter of persons. You are a son or daughter to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! You are God’s masterpiece! You too can step into the presence of God at anytime and anyplace! You are worthy, and you are enough! The next time Satan tries to plant a thought of doubt or unworthiness, just remind him who you are, how God sees you, and just how worthy you are! That as a born again Christian in Christ Jesus, you WIN in the end!
