OSDH updates Covid numbers

The Oklahoma State Department of Health announced as of press time on March 1, that Alfalfa County was up to 1,149 cases with 1,135  recovered from the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Alfalfa County has recorded seven deaths due to COVID-19. Aline, Helena and Carmen both have two and Cherokee has one.

The towns receiving positive tests are: Aline, 54 with 51 recovered; Burlington, 31 with 31 recovered; Carmen, 46 with 44 recovered; Cherokee, 210 with 207 recovered; Goltry, 39 with 38 recovered; Helena, 729 with 721 recovered; and Jet, 39 with 39 recovered.

As of press time, the current cases in counties neighboring Alfalfa are: Dewey, 537 with 514 recovered and six deaths; Garfield, 7,620 with 7,358 recovered and 78 deaths; Grant, 540 with 526 recovered and seven deaths; Kingfisher, 1,997 with 1,938 recovered and 24 deaths; Major, 941 with 910 recovered and 12 deaths; Woods, 1,189 with 1,161 recovered and 11 deaths; and Woodward, 3,098 with 3,011 recovered and 18 deaths.
