New superintendent hired to help with hiring

The Burlington Board of Education met at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, for a special called meeting.

The meeting was called to order with Terry Graham, Robert Hill and Aaron Smith present. T.J. Rockenbach and April Kisling were absent.

The agenda was approved as part of the minutes first.

At 6:38 p.m. the board convened into executive session to discuss the administrative contract for Kevin Brown from March 9 to June 30.

Following the board returning to open session, Graham read the statement of executive session minutes. Then the board approved placing Brown on administrative contract for the remainder of the school year for the purpose of allowing him to make employment recommendations.

The meeting adjourned at 6:54 p.m.
