Pederson to speak in Carmen

The regular meeting of the Carmen Chamber of Commerce will be August 11 at noon at the After 55 Club.  Senator Roland Pederson will be the guest speaker.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Meal reservations can be made with Marcia Brown.

Yard Of The Month

The Carmen Christian Church has been recognized as the Yard of the Month for August.  The neatly trimmed yard is very attractive.

Storm Damages Poles

The intense wind storm last Saturday evening damaged 18 utility poles north of Carmen.  Many of the poles were across the road so the road was closed until Sunday.  Thanks to AEC and the utility workers for their work repairing the damage!
