Local wins Waynoka rodeo princess

At the rodeo held in Waynoka last weekend, Kassie Irwin was named 2021 Cimarron river Stampede Rodeo Princess. She also won horsemanship, appearance and ticket sales.

She is the daughter of Kevin and Katie Joe Irwin, granddaughter of Jerrie and Paul Smith, Pat Irwin, and great-granddaughter of Bettie Jo Weber.  Congratulations Kassie.

After 55 Luncheon Thursday

The monthly After 55 Luncheon will be held Thursday, August 19, at noon at the After 55.  There will be Taco Pile-on provided.  Bring desserts, salads and side dishes to share.  Everyone is welcome.

Chamber News

Senator Roland Pederson was the guest speaker at the Chamber of Commerce meeting held last week.  He gave a state update of area concerns. 

President Sam Wooten also gave updates for the Chamber and city. Regular meeting is second Wednesday at noon at the After 55 Club.

The Carmen Pool will remain open weekends from 1-6 thru Labor Day.

Congratulations to Darole and Judy Mott of Tulsa who were honored with an anniversary family celebration as well as August birthday celebrations.
