OSDH updates Covid-19 numbers
The Oklahoma State Department of Health announced as of press time on September 7, that Alfalfa County was up to 1,223 cases with 1,192 recovered from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Alfalfa County has recorded nine deaths due to COVID-19. Carmen has three, Aline and Helena have two and Cherokee and Jet have one.
The towns receiving positive tests are: Aline, 58 with 55 recovered; Burlington, 32 with 31 recovered; Carmen, 51 with 45 recovered; Cherokee, 246 with 237 recovered; Goltry, 44 with 41 recovered; Helena, 740 with 735 recovered; and Jet, 47 with 45 recovered.
The following zip codes are recording positive tests: 73716, 58 with 55 recovered; 73722, 36 with 35 recovered; 73726, 51 with 45 recovered; 73728, 242 with 233 recovered; 73739, 47 with 44 recovered; 73741, 742 with 737 recovered; and 73749, 47 with 45 recovered.
Currently the Oklahoma Department of Correction is reporting zero positive cases at James Crabtree Correctional Center. They have zero in insolation and zero quarantined inmates.

As of press time, the current cases in counties neighboring Alfalfa are: Dewey, 610 with 582 recovered and 14 deaths; Garfield, 8,610 with 8,210 recovered and 144 deaths; Grant, 619 with 589 recovered and seven deaths; Kingfisher, 2,340 with 2,207 recovered and 43 deaths; Major, 1,077 with 1,003 recovered and 24 deaths; Woods, 1,437 with 1,347 recovered and 19 deaths; and Woodward, 3,321 with 3,235 recovered and 38 deaths.
