Floyd Stout

A Celebration of Life service for Floyd Stout, age 82, Enid, was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Mark Johnson officiating.

Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Floyd was born January 19, 1939  in Cherokee to Hollis and Opal (Stout) Stout and passed away January 18, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He grew up in Cherokee and graduated from Cherokee High School and graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in education. He taught 5th and 6th grades at Cherokee Public Schools, retiring after 30 years. He also coached basketball. Floyd enjoyed his farming. He entered Army National Guard and was honorably discharged.

He married Lynda Metcalf in 1958 and later married Patricia Stone-Fuxa on May 22, 1999 in Enid and she passed away November 28, 2021.  They lived in Cherokee and moved to Enid in 2006.

He is survived by his daughter Melanie Stout from Alva and son Gregg and Lisa Stout, Jacksonville, N.C.; stepdaughter Jane and Randy Johnson, stepsons; Bryan and Rhonda Fuxa, Bradley and Kristy Fuxa, and Barry and Robin Fuxa; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Joan Stout and several other family members.   

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Robert Jackson, brother Dale Stout and sister Shirley Staiger.
