Miss Cherokee, Miss Cherokee High help with fundraising event
Miss Cherokee High Madison Wheeler and Miss Cherokee Callista Studer volunteered at the 2021 Race 4 Jase event at Crosslin Park in Enid on June 5. Jase Dershem is the nephew of Lacy Hoggard and battles Classic Galactosemia. This was the 8th annual run to raise money for medical research. They raised over $6,000. There were 108 runners/walkers and 4 fire departments that participated. Wheeler and Studer volunteered handing out water, keeping times for all the winners and helped Jase hand out awards. They even were able to spray the fire hose.
