Teddy S. Ferrell

Teddy S. Ferrell, 89, of Wichita, Kan. passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022.

Teddy was born the son of Leon and Maude Ferrell March 22, 1932 in Alfalfa County, Okla. Teddy S. and Marjorie Ferrell were united in marriage on October 5, 1952 in Cherokee.

Teddy served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a farmer in Oklahoma until moving to Wichita, Kan. in 1957 and worked at Boeing until his retirement in 1991.

Every summer he returned to Oklahoma for wheat harvest, including 2021 harvest. In 2019, Teddy took part in the Kansas Honor Flight to Washington D.C.

He was a lifelong member of the East Point Church of Christ and involved in several mission trips to South Texas and Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 68 years; Marjorie “Margie” Ferrell, siblings; Rosalie (Earl), Pauline (Albert), Bobby (Betty), Billy (Ruth), Jimmy (Nyla), Tommy, Henry, and Dolly (Bill).

Survivors include his children; Rodger (Juanita) Ferrell, Steven Ferrell, Tonias Benton, brother; Benny (Adele), sister-in-law; Alyce, grandchildren; Heather (Gerald) Shoppe, Anna (Darren) Lawrence, Mary (Jordan) Stover, Aaron (Betsy) Benton, Sarah (Jason) VenJohn, Tyler (Hannah) Benton, 12 great-grandchildren and one more on the way.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, January 14, 2022 at East Point Church of Christ, 747 N. 127th St. E., Wichita, Kan.

Burial will follow at Byron Amorita Cemetery in Byron, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the East Point Church of Christ, ZOP program or Carpenters Place, 1501 N. Meridian Ave., Wichita, KS.
